Primitive Folk Art Christmas Pocket Star Ornies w/ Sweet Annie-set of three

Winter is approaching and the time will soon be here to start decorating for that wonderful time of year. To help get you in the mood, I made some old fashioned star ornies.

This set of three ornies were made from red homespun. Then I added a pocket from red and white ticking, to which I added and old rusty bell. Inside the pocket I put artificial evergreen branches, red pip berries and a few stems of sweet annie from my garden.

The fabric stars were aged with a mixture of coffee, vanilla and cinnamon and then carefully baked. Each star has a rick-rack loop that you can use to hang on a tree, or anywhere you desire. They also would be great tucked into a bowl or basket to add some homey feelings to a room.
